The Juniper 'Greenmound Procumbens', Juniperus procumbens 'Greenmound', is a popular dwarf procumbens with handsome blue-green foliage that does not brown out. Being a slow growing, ground hugging, cushion-like plant, 'Greenmound' has stiff branches and tight green foliage that is used extensively as evergreen Bonsai. Its needle-like leaves are a blue-green color sharp points in groups of threes. This is an excellent choice for an evergreen groundcover, or if you want to fill in areas where anything with height is not an option. It is best to plant in slightly acidic sandy soil, and it is recommended that applying a good mulching when young. This plant will gently cascade over walls and rocks where little maintenance is needed.
