Sea Holly does best in full sun and sharply drained soils. Eryngium does not like to be overwatered. Preferring rich, fertile soils, but tolerant in more demanding, less than optimal settings, Sea Holly adapts to almost any setting that has well-drained soils. Even thriving in poor soils.
