Its dramatic ruffles and lovely scent make it one of the most dignified and graceful Irises you will find. And did we mention it's perfect blue?

So, the Java Blue Iris is blue, but it's not just any ordinary blue. It is the most placid and pretty marine blue. Its monochromatic coloration highlights its exquisite form. From its blue and fuzzy beard to its wide ruffled edges this Iris makes an impact in mid-spring when it announces the arrival of its azure blooms.

You'll want to keep your camera handy when the Java Blue is blooming. Bees and butterflies love it just as much as you will. And with its amazing color, it makes for some incredible photos.

Plant this blue bombshell where you can admire its flowers and its splendid scent. Create a landscape Monet would be proud of with drifts of Java Blue Iris throughout your cottage garden and along your path. Get playful and plant some by the sidewalk and mailbox for passersby to appreciate. Just be sure you provide your Java Blues with well-drained soil and partial to full sun. Like other Iris varieties, you'll want to plant them with their roots straddling a mound of soil and cover them two-thirds of the way up the rhizome.

The Java Blue Tall Bearded Iris reinvents the blues with its spectacular color and cheerful form. These blue babies won't stay in stock long. Bring on the blue and order yours today.

Information About Bare Root Iris

Bare root Iris are shipped as nice fresh cut divisions with two to three fans of green tops. Keep in mind each Iris variety can have slightly different sized roots.

When planting, make sure 1/3rd of the rhizome is exposed to sunlight with the roots buried underneath. Note, it's best to cover the rhizome with a thin layer of mulch or leaves to protect it during the coldest months but make sure to uncover in the spring.
