Soft, graceful, and elegant, the Social Graces Tall Bearded Iris (Iris germanica 'Social Graces') will add refinement and style to your yard. With a handful of these tall bearded Iris, your landscape will have the social graces and prestige of some of the best and most manicured gardens. This award-winning iris offers rare hues and phenomenal strength.

The Social Graces Tall Bearded Iris flourishes with large blooms that present a combination of colors that is both rare and alluring. These flowers feature red-violet to mauve falls with intricate frills and deeply colored edges that surpass some of the most high-fashion-runway looks in style and interest. These falls are soft purple at their centers where they meet their tangerine orange beards. The Social Graces also wears a crown of lavender ruffled standards that match her lovely falls.

Where should you plant your Social Graces Tall Bearded Iris for the most garden appeal? This delightful iris looks stunning no matter where it ends up in your landscape. Many gardeners choose to use theirs as a mixed border with early spring and late spring bloomers since the Social Graces is a midseason bloomer. It remains attractive when out of bloom with its strong, long, medium-green leaves.

This remarkable iris performs its best in partial sun or full sun with medium or low moisture soil. This makes it a wonderful foundation plant or as a mass planting in dappled shade beneath your favorite tree. You can even achieve a more manicured effect by planting a row of Social Graces Tall Bearded Iris along your driveway or in an accent garden bed.

Like most divas, this regal iris doesn't like to get her feet wet, so make sure you plant it in well-drained soil. It also roots best when planted in late summer or early fall. For best results, you can create a mound of soil and plant your Social Graces Tall Bearded Iris with the rhizome peeking above the dirt. Water it well while it's rooting, but after it's established, only water when its soil appears dry.

This drought-tolerant queen is also deer and rabbit resistant. Yet it's fragrant blooms do not have any trouble attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.

It's easy to see how the Social Graces Tall Bearded Iris achieved its prestige. This award winner features enchanting coloration. Invite this social butterfly to your garden's party. Order yours now.

Information About Bare Root Iris

Bare root Iris are shipped as nice fresh cut divisions with two to three fans of green tops. Keep in mind each Iris variety can have slightly different sized roots.

When planting, make sure 1/3rd of the rhizome is exposed to sunlight with the roots buried underneath. Note, it's best to cover the rhizome with a thin layer of mulch or leaves to protect it during the coldest months but make sure to uncover in the spring.
