Invincibelle Spirit is a hardy ornamental with impressive blooms! Any Hydrangea would be a spectacular addition to your yard, but Invincibelle Spirit Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens INVINCIBELLE SPIRIT 'NCHA1') is especially so! These exceptional floral mops of deep pink color appear in summer and continue their majestic show right up until frost. As the flowers mature, the dark pink blooms transform your shrub into a plant resplendent in bright, hot pink hues.

The strong stems support these large blooms and you'll enjoy prolific, long-lasting flowers! When fully mature, this plant can produce over 100 blooms on each shrub! Backed by a 3-4 foot tall and wide mound of deep green quilted foliage that looks fantastic all growing season. The deep pink color is combined with light pink petals and darker buds, all playing on the same mophead blossoms!

Even when autumn passes, these Smooth Hydrangeas retain their ornamental appeal persists as the floral mops fade and dry, creating decorative accents for the winter landscape. Your Invincibelle Spirit is not only beautiful but very hardy as well. It blooms on new wood, meaning that the flowers are very reliable even in harsh winters. Unlike some other Hydrangeas, bloom color is not affected by soil pH. Tolerating USDA growing zones 3 and up to hot zone 9, there's not much these resilient bushes can't handle!

Planting and Application:

You'll love the big bouquets you can make from these mophead blossoms! They remain big fluffy clusters all growing season, turning a lovely botanical tan for fall and winter interest! #ProPlantTips for Care:

These are part shade shrubs, but bloom even more if you plant them where they get a little direct morning sun and afternoon shade (especially when planted in hot growing zones) but plants in cooler climates can tolerate full sun! Adaptable to a variety of soil conditions and thrives in well-drained moist soil. Regular watering is key. Best in average moisture and well-drained organic soils, though these natives can tolerate a lot! Mulch the root zone very well to insulate the roots and keep moisture levels in check. A simple pruning method is to cut all stems down to a foot or less each early spring.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Moderate Moisture & Loves Mulched Beds
  • Cold & Heat Hardy Woody Shrub
  • Prune Early Spring Before New Growth Appears
  • Tolerates Clay & Shallow-Rocky Soil, Dry & Wet Soil
