The Grass 'Weeping Love', Eragrostis curvula, is a wiry perennial grass with narrow, light green foliage; foliage is wispy and moves in the wind. Arching, lavender-gray panicles appear in mid to late summer. The drooping leaf characteristic gives rise to the name “weeping” lovegrass. This grass features dark green, fine textured, almost hair-like foliage that forms dense clumps. The seed heads are erect or drooping and produce small very numerous seeds. This grass grows on almost any well-drained soil, but prefers the sandy loams; also will grow on low fertility soils; responds well to fertilization. 'Weeping Love' is a grass that is perfect for erosion control and can be used in mass plantings, as a specimen, or in borders. It prefers a light-textured, well-drained soil, and will thrive on soils of low fertility. This grass is very drought tolerant and tough.
