Single Mix Freesia

Availability: Out of stock

Color galore! You can never have too much color in your garden, right? Add striking color to your landscape with the Freesia Single Mix (Freesia corymbosa (mixed cultivars)), which contains a variety of bloom colors, including yellow, white, pink, purple, and red!

With a sweetly perfumed scent, the gorgeous, trumpet-shaped blooms open in the summer along one side of the stems, creating an interesting, delicate appearance. The green sword-like foliage is graceful and forms lovely clumps that act as fillers and spillers in the garden or over planter edges. Pollinators and hummingbirds adore these blossoms!

In cooler growing zones, Freesia bulbs can be planted outdoors in Spring as annual accents, for late Summer flowers. The bulbs may also be planted in pots in the fall and grown in a cool greenhouse, around 60 degrees, for winter flowers. These bulbs can be planted outdoors in the fall in zones 9 and 10 or in containers elsewhere. Many Northern gardeners also use theirs as annuals to make planting easy or bring them in for the winter as houseplants.

Planting and Application:

Freesia's elegant bare stems make absolutely lovely cut flowers and look great in containers, so add to your cutting garden for plenty of fresh stems all spring into early summer! You can stagger planting times of these in your garden for a continuous supply of bouquet blooms until the heat of summer kicks in!

The incredible assorted coloration and fragrance will do the trick in any dull, boring spot in your garden. Let Freesia Single Mix work its magic in your landscaping! You will want to find a warm spot in your garden. These spring beauties pop out of precious and delicate corms. They need lots of warmth and humidity so planting them along your foundation will be the perfect spot to keep them growing strong!

  • Assorted Bloom Colors With a Delicate Appearance
  • Wonderfully Sweet Scent
  • Multiple Blooms per Stem!
  • Elegant Cut Flower
  • Great for Pollinators & Hummingbirds

#ProPlantTips for Care:

When planted properly, Freesia corms bloom profusely and won't disappoint! Freesias do best when grown in full sun, with well-draining, rich soil. Add mulch around the base of the plant to ensure even moisture, not to mention the physical attractiveness that mulch brings to the table! Deadhead after the bloom fades and trim back foliage as it yellows. Northern growers need to lift their corms and store them for winter or bring the plants in as a houseplant in the fall.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Enriched Well-Drained Soil & Moderate Moisture
  • Warm Weather Bulbs
  • Annual or Perennial Corms
  • Deadhead as Flowers Fade & Prune Down When Greenery Yellows

No matter how you grow the Single Mix Freesias, you'll love the colorful blooms without a doubt! These flowers are a fan favorite, so order today before it's too late! Order your spring bulbs from and we'll ship your plants right on time at the appropriate planting season for your growing zone!
