Blondy® Euonymus (Euonymus fortunei 'Interbolwi'), also known as Blondy® Wintercreeper, is an evergreen shrub that has a bushy, mounded habit and is adaptive to a variety of soils. It's lovely left to grow naturally but is amenable to pruning if you so desire.

A delightful combination of green and yellows highlights this Proven Winners® evergreen shrub selection. The variegated leaves appear on yellow stems, each lovely leaf featuring a serrated, oval-shaped dark green tone accented with a splash of bright yellow in the center.

Even the stems are brilliant yellow! The tidy, mounding habit really sets off the landscape all year long! This type of Wintercreeper will climb if given a foothold, but it's just as apt to sprawl over the ground when nothing is around for purchase, not taking up much room at all! Hardy in USDA growing zones 5 through 9, these are moderately cold tolerant and very heat hardy!

Planting and Application:

Blondy® Wintercreeper is spectacular when planted en masse for the vibrant color that it provides to the landscape. It can also provide a lovely, tall groundcover or vibrant border. Equally adaptable on slopes and hard to mow hillsides for erosion control, these Xeric shrubs are also fantastic for along rock walls, softening the tops of retaining walls and throughout Rock Gardens too!

The foliage is so lovely that it's often used in vase arrangements, or as greenery in your porch and patio containers and planters! Include as facer shrubs and your foundation plantings to add year-round color, or in the tricky spot between the sidewalk and street, or along your driveway for a neat, tidy and easy care plant that's tough-as-nails!

  • Bright Yellow Foliage With Green Edges
  • Decorative Variegated Foliage
  • Evergreen - Year-Round Interest
  • Low Hedge, En Masse, Greenery in Containers & Bouquets
  • Erosion Control & Slopes

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Your Blondy® Wintercreper loves full sun, but will still thrive in partial shade and even full shade in hot climates. Provide a well-drained location but it's adaptive to a variety of soils and generally low maintenance! Clean mounds in late winter or early spring before you see new growth emerge. These are very drought tolerant shrubs once established.

  • Full Sun, Part Sun/Shade & Full Shade
  • Highly Adaptable to Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Average to Low Moisture Once Established
  • Prune in Late Winter/Early Spring
  • Drought Tolerant

Popular shrubs come and go, but only some have the long-term staying power that keeps them a popular choice among gardeners. Blondy® Wintercreeper has that staying power and is sure to prove it to you when you plant one this year. Order yours today at NatureHills.com!
