There are pretty Irises and then there is the Eternal Bliss Tall Bearded Iris (Iris germanica 'Eternal Bliss'). This luminous white Iris shines bright and beautiful while blessing gardens with its reblooming ability! It also has the breathtaking ability to shift colors depending on how the light reflects off its ruffled petals!

This frilly and feminine Iris wins hearts and stops passersby with its excellent white coloration. Its well-ruffled edges come alive with highlights and shadows. The Eternal Bliss Tall Bearded Iris erupts in mid-spring and again in late summer with massive and dreamy blooms. The highly ruffled petals and bright tangerine beards will enrapture you and draw your eye in.

They'll also draw in your local bees. You'll love to see them stop to enjoy this Iris's lovely scent, shifting sheen of pale lavender, and pristine form! Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 9, this Tall Bearded Iris grows on tall stems 35 inches in height and forms clumps 12 - 18 inches wide.

Planting and Application:

This reliable rebloomer makes an excellent addition to any Cottage garden, and Ethernal Bliss earns its keep as the ideal white highlight to your perennial border. If you're looking for a show-stopping cut flower, the Eternal Bliss will glow among other cutting garden blooms with their bridal white petals!

Because this eternal beauty likes well-drained soil, it happily takes root in Rock Gardens and on embankments, hard-to-mow hillsides, and slopes. Long after the flowers fade, the architectural greenery adds texture to the landscape as backdrops and fringe along the fronts of evergreen and foundation hedges.

While en masse plantings light up the garden, smaller installations in groupings, or a single specimen light up the landscape just as beautifully! Even porch planters and mixed container gardens on your patio gain luminous scented blooms!

  • Ruffled Pure White Petals & Orange Beards
  • Spiky Upright Green Foliage
  • Reblooming & Scented
  • Pollinator-Friendly & Gorgeous Cut Flowers
  • Dramatic Groupings, Backdrops, Edging & Container Specimens

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Provide your Iris with full sun or partial sun location, and plant them on mounds so the water easily runs off and with the top-third of its rhizome above the soil. Any well-drained soil location works great, providing moderate moisture on a regular basis during their first year in the ground. All plants appreciate a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch over the rhizomes and surrounding soil area. Deadhead when the blooms are done but keep the leaves so they can make food for the bulb. As the years pass, you will want to divide and transplant the new rhizomes every 2-5 years depending on how closely they're planted together.

Information About Bareroot Iris

Bareroot Iris are shipped as nice fresh-cut divisions with two to three fans of green tops. Keep in mind each Iris variety can have slightly different-sized roots. Container plants are well-grown in the nursery for several years in their container to establish a strong root system.

When planting Iris, which are best planted in early to mid-fall, ensure 1/3rd of the rhizome is exposed to sunlight with the roots buried underneath. Note, that it's best to cover the rhizome with a thin layer of mulch or leaves to protect it during the coldest months but make sure to uncover them in the spring.
