Brash yellows are easy to come by in the garden. Soft-yellows, not so much. Especially soft-yellows that don't fade to white or turn brown or are too ephemeral to last through the heat of summer. Enter Double Scoop Lemon Cream Coneflower (Echinacea 'Balsclemc'). This lovely new color is like your Grandma's banana pudding - pretty enough to eat.
The color is sweet, but the plant is strong - a strong grower, and strong branching and a strong bloomer. The whole Double Scoop Coneflower brand is a newer introduction of Echinacea and they are bred for strong branching (which means more flowering), hardiness and beauty.
Able to weather the intense heat and humidity of a southern summer as well as the biting cold winters of more northern climes (in a dormant state), this pretty flower will astound you year after year.
The flowers are double pom-poms making them very fluffy and very touchable - which is good because they look great in vases. These are hardy and steady growers. The foliage stays dark green all summer long.
Birds and butterflies love them. Leave some spent flower blooms on at the end of the fall so that the birds can feast on the seed heads over the winter. They'll thank you for it!

Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
