The Daylily Preppy Pink, 'Hemerocallis 'Preppy Pink', produces a 3 1/2 inch rose-pink bloom with white margins and a deeper rose eye zone. This repeat bloomer performs in midseason and grows to 32 inches in height!
The flowers of ‘Preppy Pink’ are fragrant and they will attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
This plant can be used for a border, in containers, as a cut flower, and massed. Daylily clumps spread slowly over time and may need to be divided every 2 to 3 years or so. Cut back dead foliage in late fall or early spring.
Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions; prefers a full sun area that is well-drained.
Use ‘Preppy Pink’ for stand alone plantings, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. The ‘Preppy Pink’ daylily can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot.
Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage.
This tall plant provides a vivid, stunning display and is a rebloomer!
