The Coralberry Blade of Sun, Symphoricarpos chenaultii 'Blade of Sun' PP#18567, is a charming, easy care, and good looking golden shrub. When planted in full sun it will intensify the golden color and will not burn. Foliage will take on more of a green or yellow color in shade. Being low and spreading with a lush and attractive foliage, Blade of Sun is fantastic for small spaces or when planted in mass; can be used as a colorful ground cover too! It prefers moist, well drained soil and is tolerant of dry soils. Flowering all summer, Blade of Sun then produces pinkish-purple berries; poisonous to man. Coralberry forms extensive colonies and spreads by rooting at the nodes where it touches the ground. Blade of Sun plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds; provides a solid shelter for small wildlife.
