Oso Easy® Shrub Roses need full sun and good air circulation to do their best. They flourish in full sun with at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. They'll also need good air circulation and well-drained soil. If you have soggy soil, you'll need to elevate the planting. Bring in additional soil to create a raised bed or planting mound for best results. Be sure to include Nature Hills Root Booster with your order. These symbiotic ingredients help protect your investment and support the tiny feeder roots over the entire life of your plant.
Give them a moderate amount of supplemental moisture on a regular basis. The goal is to keep the soil moist, but not wet. Don't forget to water your container-grown plants! Add a three to four-inch layer of mulch to cover the root system but pull it back away from touching the stems directly.
Rake and bag the fallen leaves out from underneath your Roses in late fall for proper hygiene. In early spring, prune them back to six inches, using an angled cut just above a swollen bud. Feed Roses a high-quality, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer. Follow the directions on the label to support bloom production.
While they soften the look of your landscape, don't let their sweet looks fool you. These plants are incredibly rugged and durable. After all, they have to pass very rigorous field testing to be considered a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® selection! And our expert growers do a fantastic job of bringing their superior genetics to market, shipped in a sturdy box right to your doorstep. Our growers love these exceptional landscape Shrub Roses; you will, too! Order the Oso Easy® Pink Double Landscape Shrub Rose from Nature Hills today!
Roses need a protected location and prefer full sun and favor the drying power of the morning sun and flower best in at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Choose a location in good, enriched soil that drains well and has good air circulation.
You can plant Roses any time if you are able to provide enough consistent moisture and attention. While there is not a specific month that is best, generally because it changes with temperatures, climate and growing zone. However, the easiest times of the year to get Rose bushes established in your landscape are in spring after the last frost date, and in fall about 4-6 weeks before the first frost.
