Add This to Your Cutting Garden!
Do you have a cutting garden? You know, space where you grow flowers just so you can bring in armloads of blooms to fill your vases? If you do, then you will definitely want to add Coed Hebe (Hebe ‘Coed’) to your garden this year. If you don’t then you’ll want to start one with this Coed right away!
Hebe, sometimes called Veronica, is a lovely plant that slowly grows to about 3 feet tall and wide. In warm zones 8-10, it is a hardy evergreen that forms a fantastic shrub border or edging. In all other climates, it is a welcoming annual that does great in containers and patio pots. The leaves are a rich green that makes a perfect backdrop for the lavender-pink candle-like flowers that cover the bush from late summer through the fall. The stems of Coed are a sweet treat, too. They are maroon/burgundy color that makes them really stand out.
Once Coed Hebe blooms, a few snips of the feathery flowers and a stem or two of the foliage is all you need to make a simple but stunning floral arrangement.
These easy-to-grow beauties are a great addition to any garden – cutting or not – so make sure to order yours from us today!
