Clematis Clair de Lune, Clematis 'Clair de Lune™', is adorned with elegance and grace with its lovely flowers.

Clair de Lune, raised by Raymond J. Evison, has lovely 6-7" flowers of white that is suffused with lavender which becomes darker towards the edge of the wavy petals. The striking dark anthers make a wonderful contrast to the lighter flowers.

Clair de Lune grows well in any garden area, but flowers retain color best in a partly shady location. It is compact and free flowering clematis!

Clematis 'Clair de Lune™' needs a supporting structure, either man-made or natural to grow properly. Large shrubs and trellis’ provide excellent support.

Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread.

Clematis prefers to have the root systems to be cool and the plant itself in the sun. Mulch the base of the plants to keep them shady and cool.

Groom this plant after first flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems to control size and attractiveness.
