#ProPlantTips for Care

Choice City does best in full sun, with at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. They are highly adaptable to soil type.

This variety is tough enough to handle a little bit of moist soil. However, for best results we do recommend well-drained soil.

Pay close attention to a consistent watering schedule during the first season. Trees stay healthy and stress-free with an ongoing supply of supplemental water.

Apply a three-inch layer of mulch to keep the root system nice and cool. Please pull it back away from the trunk for proper air circulation.

In late winter, train your tree's canopy with strategic pruning cuts. Develop a well-structured canopy while the tree is young.

Garden designers and landscape professionals use these popular shade trees to delight their clients. Place your order for Choice City Elm before our limited inventory is used on a large project.
