How to Use Choice City™ Elm in the Landscape

Add a single tree for shade and you'll gain a shapely specimen to plan your garden design around. Use it on the south or southwest corner to enjoy a lazy afternoon on your chaise longue with a glass of iced tea.

Plant several of them in a grand grouping. Plant them from 50 to 70 feet apart in either a formal avenue, or a more loose and natural effect.

Establish a park-like setting in your large landscape!

Choice City Elm trees make an excellent addition to a biodiverse mixed planting. Their bold outline and attention-grabbing foliage stands out, while complimenting a wide variety of other deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs.

Commercial property owners should take a long look at these elegant trees. Plant Choice City Elm along the length of your entrance drive to polish up your initial first impression. No one needs to know how easy-care your landscaping really is!

#ProPlantTips for Care

Choice City does best in full sun, with at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. They are highly adaptable to soil type.

This variety is tough enough to handle a little bit of moist soil. However, for best results we do recommend well-drained soil.

Pay close attention to a consistent watering schedule during the first season. Trees stay healthy and stress-free with an ongoing supply of supplemental water.

Apply a three-inch layer of mulch to keep the root system nice and cool. Please pull it back away from the trunk for proper air circulation.

In late winter, train your tree's canopy with strategic pruning cuts. Develop a well-structured canopy while the tree is young.

Garden designers and landscape professionals use these popular shade trees to delight their clients. Place your order for Choice City™ Elm before our limited inventory is used on a large project.
