Fantastic repeat blooming white Azalea, the Bloom-A-Thon® line of dazzling ornamental spring flowering shrubs will elevate your landscape! You will be wowed by gleaming pure white flowers appearing in April, and then again in early July. Amazingly, the Bloom-A-Thon® White Azalea (Rhododendron BLOOM-A-THON 'RLH13P3' PP21,512) continue blooming through the summer heat and does not stop its amazing display of brilliant white flowers until a hard frost!

White flowers in summer just look so fresh and crisp, don't they? Butterflies and Hummingbirds will agree, and every car slowing down to get a better look at your garden will think so too! During the few times it's not in bloom, this White Azalea fills out in a lush rounded leafy display of broad-leaved evergreen foliage to provide your landscape with year-round green! Having a glossy dense, bushy, and vigorous growth habit, it looks great all four seasons of the year!

The Bloom-A-Thon® White Azalea shrub is clearly superior to older, weaker varieties, and the improvements are obvious: very easy growing, disease resistant, maintains excellent color, and is a strong growing plant with lots of large blooms. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 7 to 9, these tidy shrubs won't overwhelm your landscape in terms of size and growth.

This reblooming Azalea and its year-long evergreen display is perfect for mass plantings, mixed borders, and as a continuous row of snowy white along the fronts of garden edges, lighting up an evergreen foundation hedge as facer plants, or lining pathways, sidewalks and even your driveway in gleaming white blossoms!

Small enough for planters on porches and patios, a dark or slate gray planter or urn on your front entry, or around a back seating area becomes an elegant display! Plant in the ground or in tall pots throughout a cottage garden or perennial border as accents and focal points, or use Bloom-A-Thon® White Reblooming Azalea as a shining specimen plant that attracts pollinators and loads of attention!

#ProPlantTips For Care

Bloom-A-Thon® Azaleas can handle more sun than many other Azaleas. Leaf scorch doesn't seem to be as much of a problem as with the strict shade-loving Azaleas, but Reblooming White can handle partial shade just fine too! It's drought-tolerant once established and requires little care beyond slightly acidic well-drained soil.

Best in rich soil that is mulched so their shallow root systems do not dry out, ensure they are not in soggy sites. Berm the area by 18-24 inches and plant directly into this mound if you suspect poor drainage. It is best to prune to shape and fertilize right after the first major spring bloom.

  • Sun Tolerant & Partial Shade
  • Moderate to Moist Soil
  • Well-Drained Very Enriched Soil
  • Prune Right After Flowering
  • Year Round Foliage

This is a wonderful choice for continuous garden enjoyment! It's twice as nice as other Azaleas because you don't have just a week or two of beautifully colored flowers, but you can enjoy up to five months of blooms! Azalea and Rhododendron Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the best place to plant an Azalea bush?

Azaleas and Rhododendrons prefer partial shade (both dappled shade all day or morning sun with afternoon shade). Plant in a slightly acidic, consistently moist, enriched and well-drained soil location for best results. Their shallow roots dislike soggy soil but thrive with a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch over their surface.

How big does an Azalea bush get?

Bloom-A-Thon® White Reblooming Azalea can grow around 2-3 feet in height and width in optimal conditions.

Are Azalea bushes low maintenance?

Azalea and Rhododendron shrubs are very easy to grow and low-maintenance. Water during drought, prune only after flowering and fertilize with an acid-loving organic, slow-release flowering plant fertilizer.

What is the difference between Rhododendrons and Azaleas?

All Azaleas are Rhododendrons but not all Rhodondendrons are Azaleas. Azalea tends to be smaller-sized with smaller leaves and stems, while Rhododendrons can be larger with stout branching and larger bloom trusses. There can both be either deciduous or broad-leaved evergreens.
