#ProPlantTips for Care:

Field-tested for many years by the Proven Winners® team, Decadence® False Indigo flowers in full sun or partial shade! A great choice for experienced gardeners and beginners alike, carefree False Indigo flowers in at least four hours of sunlight a day. These Perennials prefer well-drained soil.

All plants appreciate a 3-4 inch layer of mulch over the root system whether they are in the ground or planters. Keep your plants healthy and stress-free with regular water their first year, but these deep-rooted plants can be drought-tolerant once established. We recommend a consistent schedule of supplemental water during their first year in the ground.

Each year, your plant will produce new growth and flowers from the crown! Deadhead after the flowers fade to clean up the mounds, and in early spring, simply prune them to the ground. Though deeply rooted, you can carefully divide these plants every 3-5 years to maintain their vigor if they seem to be struggling. Site them in a permanent spot, as their long tap roots resent being moved.

  • High Performance In Full Sun or Partial Shade
  • Versatile & Adaptable to Most Well-Drained Soils
  • Low Maintenance & Low Moisture Once Established
  • Salt & Drought Tolerant, Rabbits & Deer Don't Prefer the Taste
  • Deadheading Not Required & Prune Early Spring
