Misty Blue Baneberry

Out of stock

Actaea Misty Blue, Actae pachypoda 'Misty Blue', (Bugbane) gets its name from its finely cut, soft, bluish-green foliage.

It is a shade loving native woodland perennial with clusters of short-stalked white flowers that drift above the foliage from late spring to early summer. This creates a lovely misty effect that brings a constantly supply of butterflies!

The flowers then develop into panicles of striking cool white berries which are borne on red pedicels in fall; each berry has a distinctive black spot but is very poisonous.

These berries are very persistent and remain for up to 6 weeks, adding a lovely texture and color to your fall shade garden. This perennial plant is effortless to grow, long-lived, and prefers to be grown in light to full shade and moist, fertile soil; rarely bothered by pests or diseases.

Misty Blue does tolerate full shade but thrives best when allowed some sunlight. You're going to love this amazing and striking selection, and it will soon become your favorite native woodland perennial!
