The National Audubon Society presents a new line of native plants and trees that helps birds and wildlife thrive in your area! The impressive Audubon® Native Willow Oak Tree (Quercus phellos) is a strong, beautiful and unique member of the Red Oak family.

Native to the southern United States, these adaptable trees are lacking the classic sharp lobes, the Willow Oak has glossy, slender leaves that are more similar to a Weeping Willow. Even the branching is reminiscent of these weeping trees! The overall effect is a lovely shade tree with a very graceful profile and a fine texture.

In spring, long, narrow, light green, willow-like leaves darken as the summer comes on. Then the fall color is yet another plus for this Oak. Fall Color display of beautiful yellow to golden-russet with hints of red colors to brighten up streets and yards.
