Light Colored Foliage in a Hardy Groundcover
Dixie Chip Bugleweed, Ajuga 'Dixie Chip', has green, cream, and rose-purple variegated narrow leaved foliage that will create a spectacular display for your garden when planted in mass.
In mid to late spring, violet blue flowers appear above the low spreading foliage. Ajuga 'Dixie Chip' is a petite variegated Ajuga.
It forms a tight habit, making it useful for erosion control on slopes and also as a weed suppressing ground cover for the landscape. Ajuga 'Dixie Chip' will do best in a shaded area but will adapt to morning sun. It prefers moist soil with a good drainage but will tolerate moderately dry areas.
Do avoid soggy conditions. Ajuga 'Dixie Chip' looks great in rock gardens, as a border plants, in mass plantings and is great for preventing erosion.
Butterflies and hummingbirds are defiantly attracted to Ajuga 'Dixie Chip', not to mention being deer and rabbit resistant and a low allergen. If you are looking for a perennial ground cover to exceed in a hard to grow shady area, Ajuga is the way to go!

Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
