The unique trees category is something of a catch-all. These types of trees are not readily listed in a species. They have unique characteristics such as foliage, form, size, and flower color. Each unique tree has at least one distinguishing characteristic that separates it from others in its species. A good example is the corkscrew willow.  It has twisting and branching habits that the rest of the willow species do not have. Unique trees will certainly cause an extra glance or a closer inspection from curious viewers.

Yard landscapes can be greatly enhanced by trees from this category since they have exceptional features. Some examples would be: shapes, like the Weeping Caragana; flowering trees, such as the Blue Wisteria; and arborvitaes, like the North Pole. Each of these trees offers a unique form, outstanding beauty, and will bring a wonderful contrast to a neighborhood landscape. There is a size and shape for everyone’s yard, and the tree you choose will certainly present an interesting and unparalleled focal point!
