Snow White Flwrng. Dogwood
The Snow White Flowering Dogwood tree, Cornus florida, 'Cherokee Princess', exhibits an early and heavy white flowering habit. It is an erect, vigorous growing upright tree. This white flowering dogwood has a straight central leader that displays four inch flowers!
The fall color of the upper leaf surface of the ‘Cherokee Princess’ Flowering Dogwood is dependably red or red-purple, but the lower leaf surface still retains a silvery hue for a bicolor effect.
It does best in well-drained acid soil with sufficient organic matter. Mulch to maintain a cool, moist soil and it needs summer water.
‘Cherokee Princess’ is a low branching tree that spreads horizontally and has a semi-rounded top. Plant this tree as a specimen, near a patio, or in groupings so you can enjoy the white blossoms in spring, and bright red berries in fall and winter.
