Butterflies Love Pink Flowers

Norman Spirea, spiraea japonica 'Norman', is a dwarf and compact spirea with intense rosy pink flowers on a background of mint green foliage.

It displays a raspberry-purple to red fall color, lasting approximately one month.

‘Norman’ is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. This plant prefers full sun and tolerates a wide range of soils.

Remove faded flower clusters to prolong additional bloom, and it is best to prune in late winter to early spring. The plant also likes mulch and summer watering.

Since this plant grows only 3 feet tall and as wide, ‘Norman’ is effective in the border, cottage garden or as a low, informal hedge.

It is attractive to butterflies and has no serious disease or insect problems.
