The Salvia Pink Friesland, Salvia nemorosa ‘Pink Friesland’, may just challenge its cousin, East Friesland, as one of the best perennials of all time!

It has dark red stems loaded with pink flowers that bloom from June to September. After the flowers fade, little seed pods appear making this a truly unique variety.

It has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 12-15” and stays in excellent compact form. ‘Pink Friesland’ should be planted in full sun in a moist well-drained area. To increase bloom time, it should be cut back after the first flowering is completed. ‘Pink Friesland’ attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer-resistant. Hardy for container gardening, it provides excellent flower arrangements too.

Plant ‘Pink Friesland’ in containers, borders, and you will like the results when it is planted with Sedum ‘Matrona’, Achillea 'Coronation Gold' and Saliva ‘Snow Hill’.

You will enjoy this ‘Pink Friesland’ as an accent plant, in mass plantings or containers. It is a great selection for gardeners who like re-seeding perennials that naturalize into their garden.

You will not just want one gorgeous ‘Pink Friesland’ plant, instead plant in groups of three or five!

If you place the plants so they form a triangle or a sweep, the ‘Pink Friesland’ plants will grow together to make one clump of an amazing color. This beautiful pink grouping will create a stunning bright spot that will be the envy of the neighborhood!
