The Phlox 'Creeping Pink', Phlox subulata 'Pink', makes a carpet of color and evergreen foliage and provides year round beauty and cover.
'Creeping Pink' plants are covered with a mass of pink flowers during April and May. This carefree wonder quickly blankets even tough problem areas with dense green foliage and thousands of colorful blooms.
Plant 8-12" apart in any moist soil and in full sun to partial shade. A feeding of compost in the spring is all this plant requires in the way of food.
Prune after flowering or late summer to create a healthier plant and to encourage denser growth.
'Creeping Pink' is a good plant to use with your spring flowering bulbs such as Tulips and Daffodils.
Often used as a ground cover, an edging plant or for planting in cracks and walls. It is good for naturalizing an area. It does prefer a well-drained soil, and clay water logged soils will lead to winter rotting.
