Dwarf Korean Lilac - Tree Form
Fragrant Lilac Blooms on a Lovely Ornamental Tree!
The Tree Form Dwarf Korean Lilac is a dwarf variety of lilac in tree form with single, very fragrant, pale lilac flowers.
This Korean Lilac is a beautiful and popular patio shrub that is smothered in stunning panicles of fragrant lilac purple flowers at the ends of the branches in late spring. It displays dark green foliage that emerges burgundy in spring.
Dwarf Korean Lilac has a rounded foliage and can be trained to grow in a small tree-like form with the primary plant grafted high atop a standard. It is best used as a solitary accent in the garden.
Being a relatively low maintenance tree, it should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers.
Blooming profusely at an early age, this ornamental plant makes an excellent accent or specimen in the landscape!

I purchased this tree last season and it arrived via mail in a box w/ the roots wrapped in paper w/ a handful of mulch. I was worried the tree wouldn't make it due to not having enough water during shipping in the heat. I planted the tree right away and watered it regularly. It pulled through and it blooming and looking beautiful. There are no instructions as to when to prune it back or how to shape it, that info would be helpful. Over all I am satisfied with my Korean Lilac tree and it is a great accent to my garden. (Posted on 4/4/12)Rating
