Weigela Ghost, Weigela 'Ghost™' PPAF, features deer resistant foliage that is almost supernatural! In the spring, the foliage emerges lemony-green and then transforms to a ghostly, iridescent buttercream in mid-summer. The striking blood-red flowers in spring are preceded by equally impressive buds that are almost black-red in color! Weigela Ghost™ is easy to grow and makes an excellent specimen plant in the landscape! The only thing this freaky plant will scare is the deer! It grows best in full sun to partial sun and prefers well-drained soil. Easy to grow, unpalatable to deer, and very heavy-blooming, this shrub deserves a prominent position in your landscape. Hummingbirds are attracted to the intense color and sweet nectar.
