Product Description:

The Tiger Eyes® Sumac, Rhus typhina 'Bailtiger' (PP16,185), is a Bailey Nurseries introduction. Tiger Eyes® is a beautiful golden-leafed form of Cutleaf Staghorn Sumac. New growth is a lively chartreuse green, quickly changing to yellow, both colors contrasting nicely with the rosy-pink leaf stems. The branches angle upward while the deeply cut leaflets drape downward, giving it a rather oriental look. As magnificent as the summer colors are, the dramatic effect of yellow, orange and intense scarlet in autumn are unparalleled.

Easy to care for, beautiful colors
Reviewer: MKWalsh, 7/24/2009 10:48:07 PM
We planted the Tiger Eyes Sumac on the south side of our house in a spot where other plants had trouble with the dry sunny spot and it has thrived. More than any other shrub or bush in or garden, people stop to ask what it is and rave about it. Easy to care for, a little messy in the fall when it starts dropping leaves but the colors are spectacular all season long.

Tiger Eye - Sumac Love!
Reviewer: Kris Dennison, 5/28/2010 10:58:22 PM
I just adore my Tiger Eye. Its done so well since day one. We bought our's small but it has grown super fast. I've had it for going on three seasons now. This past fall it didn't turn the typical bright orange that I've seen others do in the fall, not sure if that was just because its young or what? It got bit by the frost this early spring on the tips of the branch's but seems to be doing well where there weren't yet starts. Highly recommended plant. I love it!
