I grew up in Connecticut, and the Rugosa grew abundantly in my fathers garden. Along with Lily of the valley, lavender, etc. The Rugosa has always been my favorite. Not only for the fragrent perfume, but also for the blooms, and rose hips for my nature garden. I now live in Florida, and have the right mixture of "sand and surf" to grow them. Ah, nothing like having a taste or wiff of childhood the summer long.
