Michigan wildflower
Reviewer: nifty gardener, 4/6/2007 10:57:56 PM
This is a late-summer bloomer, starts at the end of July in zone 5B and blooms for about a month. The bees love it! In contrast to the website, I have not found that this plant needs constant moisture, in fact I find it to be heat tolerant. This is a Michigan wildflower and can be found in the wild. After a couple of years, this perennial will become like a small shrub, about 3 feet high and the same amount of spread or more. If you dont deadhead the plant, it may reseed.
