Dogwood - Muskingum™, Cornus racemosa 'Muszam', is a slow growing, mounded plant that has distinctive gray-brown stems that offers an excellent winter effect. The attractive gray-green foliage changes to a distinctive brick-red in the fall, showcasing its bountiful crop of luminous white berries. Creamy-white spring flowers have a lilac-like scent. Muskingum is a low-growing form of Gray Dogwood, 2 feet high with a 4 foot spread. It is a strong grower, very adaptable, and thrives in areas with harsh growing conditions. It shows great adaptability to many soil types from wet to dry, acid to alkaline, sandy to clay. Salt tolerant, insect and disease resistant.
