The Lilium Asiatic 'Apeldoorn', Lilium, has clear orange, outward facing petals and reaches a height of 34". Nothing compares to a mass of colorful lilies in full bloom. The lily is a symbol of majesty and these regal carefree blooms produce up to 12 beautiful flowers per bulb. It is fragrant and lovely with attractively reflexed petals.
Choose a combination of early, mid-season, and late-blooming cultivars, you can have lilies in flower from mid June through mid September. These hardy bulbs require only minimal care. Each has the capacity to grow, eventually, into a large cluster of flowering stems. They're very hardy, need no staking, and are not particularly fussy about soil, as long as it drains well. They grow best in full sun, and plant 12 to 18 inches apart.
