Hosta Dream Weaver, Hosta 'Dream Weaver', is a choice sport of the very popular Hosta 'Great Expectations'. The leaves have thick substance and very wide 3" blue-green margins that make a dramatic statement against the creamy white leaf centers. 'Dream Weaver' is lightly cupped, lightly corrugated and has thick substance. Gorgeous hosta! Creamy white flowers are just the icing on the cake with this one. Forms a generous mound that really stands out from the rest. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions. Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. High-filtered or dappled sunlight is necessary for clean, healthy growth. Morning sun is tolerable and will help to intensify the leaf colors, but hot afternoon sun is usually deadly to hostas. They are most at home in shady, woodland settings and often work well as specimen or edging plants.
