The Honeycrisp apple is a high quality apple which keeps well for 5-6 months in common storage. The tree is one of the most vigorous and hardy of apple trees, showing little damage at -40 degrees. Needs to be thinned heavily. Honeycrisp fruit is characterized by an exceptionally crisp and juicy texture. Its flesh is cream colored and coarse.

The flavor is sub-acid and ranges from mild and well-balanced to strongly aromatic, depending on the degree of maturity. Great eating apple with its subacid flavor. Develops its full aromatic flavor if left on the tree until mid October.

We planted two apple trees in Feb. 2002 and this year we got our first apples. Twenty-seven to be exact. I babied the honeycrisp tree and sprayed it picked bugs off and wrapped its trunk in the winter. It gave us enough apples this first year to make two fresh apple cakes, some applesauce and left some for eating. They are wonderfully tasty and crisp.

I bought my first Honeycrisps this year at the recomendation of the grower. I was looking for an apple for juice and jelly. I have used over a bushel making jelly, pies, dried snacks and (my favorite) apple butter. These apples hold thier flavor and color and bake excellent.

Having Eaten apples for 35 years, I can say without reservation that Honeycrisp is the best apple that I have ever eaten. Research the area that you will plant your apple trees and keep your trees healthy-naturally. Sunny spots with good air flow. I planted 5 trees this year alone.

These apples are fairly new to us around here and we think they are the best ever. We cant wait to see them at our local farm stand. Wish we knew where we could pick them in New Hampshire. Well just have to grow them ourselves.

this is the first I had ever heard of the Honey crisp apples, I was at the grocery store and the were giving out samples. I can not kep them around as my family eats them as soon as I get them home, I have to go to the store several times a week to keep them in apples. Best apple I have EVER eaten, I have told everyone about them, I would like to purchase a tree and plant one and try to grow my own!!

This is the best apple I have EVER eaten...I have acid reflux and it is also hard for me to digest raw fruit, but for some reason I have no problem with this apple with the skin on even!! The ONLY drawback with this apple is the price - quite expensive at $3.00 a piece where we live!!
