Pink Muhly Grass, Muhlenbergia capilaris, has airy rose-pink seed heads that look like a fountain of cotton candy in the garden! Muhlenbergia capilaris is a 'sleeper' grass in the landscape. Through the summer it looks just like another ornamental grass, but when fall arrives the bright pink plumes erupt into bloom and are absolutely breathtaking! Plant in groupings of three or more for the most dramatic affect in the landscape. Muhlenbergia is extremely drought, heat, and humidity tolerant, and so easy to grow, even in poor soils!
