Huron Sunrise Maiden Grass, Miscanthus sinensis 'Huron Sunrise', is an excellent newer maiden grass with very full burgundy flowers that display their beauty in mid-August, which is its most outstanding feature. In late summer, a profusion of these full, burgundy plumes sweep the sky. The plant maintains its graceful form throughout winter, providing tremendous winter interest. Miscanthus 'Huron Sunrise' blooms much more profusely than any other miscanthus variety with a nice compact habit! Its wonderful golden fall foliage color is an added bonus! Miscanthus is unrivalled in the diversity and beauty of its flowers, foliage, autumn colors and winter presence. It is extraordinarily adaptable to many conditions and purposes in the garden. Use it alone as a specimen, for massing or screening, in large containers, or at the pond's edge. Plant 'Huron Sunrise' grass where its wonderful winter interest can be enjoyed. Miscanthus is easy to grow and is a good choice for beginners. It will grow in most any soil, from loose sand to heavy clay, and does not require good drainage.
