Weigela - Fine Wine™, Weigela florida 'Bramwelll' PPAF, is an improved selection of Weigela Wine & Roses® that is more compact, hardier and darker in color. Its foliage color is similar to that of a fine wine, nice and dark burgundy, like a cabernet. Fine Wine™ is perfect for a large container or in the perennial border because of its tight and upright habit. The hot-pink flowers are extremely vibrant when set against the dark burgundy foliage, and with slight shearing, they will re-bloom throughout the summer. Hummingbirds love the bright, tubular flowers! Plant in full sun for best color. Fine Wine is extremely adaptable, but prefers well-drained soils. Use as shrub borders, groupings, masses, specimen or containers.
