The Bachelor Button Dwarf Blend, 'Centaurea cyanus', is a blend of purple, light blue, pink, and white flowers that will impress you. In addition to the wonderful blend of colors, Bachelor Button Dwarf Mix has other admirable traits including drought tolerance. Bachelor Button is also known as Cornflower. The flowers can be used as dried or cut flowers. Bachelor Button will naturalize as the seeds the plant drops will quite readily come back the next year to produce another crop of beautiful flowers.
Bachelor Button blooms 10 to 12 weeks after seeding. Plant in the spring, 1 to 2 weeks before the last frost. In warm climates, plant in late summer or early fall for winter bloom. Bachelor Button prefers full sun but they will withstand some light shade. Bachelor Button will perform the best in relatively dry soils.
