Dianthus Sangria Splash, Dianthus 'Sangria Splash' PPAF, has grey-green foliage and artfully combined patterns. These intricate patterns make Dianthus 'Sangria Splash' PPAF an excellent addition to your patio containers. The fuchsia colored flowers have a royal purple eye with matching picotee, pinked edges. The entire flower is then spattered with pink, creating a striking visual display. These colorful, fragrant blooms are produced atop a grassy clump of grey-green foliage. Dianthus 'Sangria Splash' needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon along with humidity. Regular watering during prolonged dry spells will be necessary. However, they are tolerant of short periods of dryness. These fragrant, spicy dove-like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage gardens.
