Daylily Elegant Candy, Hemerocallis 'Elegant Candy', is a new Designer Daylily™ with lovely medium pink flowers with a triangular, red eye and bright green throat. The 4.25" flowers hold their color very well throughout the day and are heavily ruffled on the edges of the petals. Lots of buds lead to many flowers blooming at once for an impressive display! Also an excellent rebloomer for color later in the season! 'Elegant Candy' is considered a "Designer" daylily because it has been selected as a highly performing plant with exceptional bloom performance, substantive, vibrantly colored flowers, complete winter hardiness in northern zones, and a vigorous habit. An absolute must have in any garden! The sweet fragrance is an added bonus. Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Use for stand alone plantings, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
