The Chicago Sunrise Daylily, Hemerocallis 'Chicago Sunrise', is a heavy blooming tetraploid with brightly colored star-like flowers, each opening for one day. This long flowering, repeat bloomer is a golden jewel that jumps out at you from the garden! Use for cut flowers, massing, edging, borders or in mixed containers and tubs. 'Chicago Sunrise' Daylily is a heavy feeder and likes a high nitrogen fertilizer. It is best to use a slow release fertilizer in the early spring when new growth first appears. Flower stems can be removed after blooming to encourage additional blooms. Vegetation can be cleaned up and discarded in late fall or early spring. Can be divided most any time of year and division is usually needed every 3-4 years for best performance.
