The Dapple Dandy Pluot®, (interspecific), 'Prunus pluot', fruit tree is a taste test winner. It ranks with Flavor King and Flavor Supreme Pluot® as a best-tasting fruit. The creamy white and red-fleshed pluot has a wonderful plum-apricot flavor. The fruit skin is greenish-yellow with red spots, turning to a maroon and yellow dapple as it matures . It can be pollenized by Flavor Supreme Pluot®, Santa Rosa or Burgundy Plum. The complex, intense flavor of Pluot® is unique to interspecifics, much like a blend of fruit juices where the mixture is an improvement over any of the separate ingredients.
