Clematis Marie Louise Jensen, Clematis 'Marie Louise Jensen' PPAF, is an outstanding new clematis that blooms from May through October! 'Marie Louise Jensen' PPAF has 6" violet blue double flowers in the spring, followed by single flowers later in the season. Striking anthers that darken as the flower ages! An excellent variety for long season of color. 'Marie Louise Jensen' needs a supporting structure to grow properly. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performers once established; they take a season or two. The time to prune is in late winter or early spring.
