I recently planted this beauty in late october or early November and in spite of my lack of landscaping experience, this plant is growing and already it is full of blooms and its appearance is georgeous.

Ive had 6 Champlain Roses for 4 years growing on the Great Plains of SoDak. It survives over 100o summer temps, drought, hail, -15o winter temps and keeps coming back every spring, with loads of blooms in June, blooms last for a long time (theres always some blooms on this rose)then gets ready for another surge of blooms in July and August and will last till frost. Of course, I have to water during dry spells (I try to remember to water at least every week or two, during a dry spell- which we usually have every summer) I plan on adding more Champlain Roses to my rose bed, because it has proven to be the "Best For the West!"

While I am the worlds greatest amateur gardener, I can give my unscientific rating of Champlain Rose as excellent. I read about Knock-Out roses, the Fairy roses, etc., and I have been most impressed by the number of blooms, the hardiness, and the repeat production of Champlain Rose.
