The Cameo apple produces raves from growers and consumers. The fruits have a red stripe over a yellow-light green undercolor. The Cameo fruit is medium to large and uniform in size. The flavor has been judged to be faintly sweet/tart with excellent eating quality. This variety is widely heralded as one of the most flavorful, crispy, and juicy apples anywhere. The Cameo matures one week before Fuji and has a long harvest and storage window.

After tasting this apple, I have never purchased another. We are so disappointed when the stores dont carry them. I eat one apple every day and wouldnt willingly eat anything but this sweet and crunchy Cameo.

I first tasted a cameo apple in December, 2004, and have been hooked ever since. Ive even done taste tests righ along side other apples, including my former favorites, the red and golden delicious apples. Cameo still wins, hands down! If you havent tasted it yet, what are waiting for?

The Best Apple Youll ever eat! After shopping for a crisp perfect counterpart to rich caramel to make our fave halloween treat, we passed by most of the usual mushy ones- choosing cameo for the first time. We were simply delighted at this find! The perfect apple in everyway! Crisp and juicy to eat and to caramel. The word for this is Fabulous! makes a heavenly caramel apple to die for! simply perfect.
