The Hydrangea Annabelle, 'Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle', is a wonderful hydrangea that produces white flowers up to 12 inches across. Annabelle blooms every year even after severe pruning or intensely cold winters. The huge, white blooms appear in profusion every year without fail in early to late summer. It is perhaps the most popular old-fashioned shrub grown in American gardens today. The flower size increases as the season continues, so that the final flush is an extraordinary show! Use Annabelle in borders, hedges, foundation, or accent plantings.

I love the Annabelle Hydrangea. I have been gardening for years, only the past 2 years have I been growing hydrangeas. I have 7 colors and I simply fell in love with growing them. The large flower heads are beautiful when dried and you can enjoy them through the fall and winter also.

The annabelle hydrangea is an excellent addition to any garden. I use it as a hedge around my patio. Every spring I cut it back to about a foot and by Memorial day it is ready to bloom again. The blooms start white then change to green before turning a buff color.During the winter the leaves drop but the flower heads remain for winter interest.
