The Silver Spring Allium, Allium 'Silver Spring', has each flower globe covered in bright white flowers with blueberry purple centers, hundreds of them! Sturdy stems are perfect for cutting and will reach approximately 2' tall in the garden. Silver Spring will add a burst of color to your next year's garden. It must be one of the most memorable images of the year, explosions of gorgeous purple and white bobbing and dancing above the surrounding planting. Easy to grow in any sunny, well-drained location, so plant them in groups of ten or more for an eye catching focal point. Divide mature clumps in August if areas become overcrowded. Alliums prefer to be dry during their dormancy. Silver Spring is ideal for containers, mass plantings, borders, and cut flowers. These plants are rabbit, squirrel, and deer resistant. It has a bloom period of about 3 weeks and they bloom in late spring to early summer.
