Peruvian Lily - Glory of the Andes

Peruvian Lily Glory of the Andes, Alstroemeria 'Glory of the Andes', is a lovely variegated form of Alstroemeria 'Sweet Laura' PP#10,030, with green leaves outlined in creamy yellow.

The exotic yellow flowers of 'Glory of the Andes' are spotted and brushed with mahogany red. Even when it's not in flower, 'Glory of the Andes' provides great foliage interest in the garden.

Hardy to zone 6, this Alstroemeria prefers to be grown in evenly moist, well-drained, rich humus, but it will tolerate drier soils; give it regular watering. Choose a sheltered site in either full sun or partial shade, preferably at the base of a south or west facing wall. It is best to mulch with organic material in the winter to prevent frost heaving.
