Daylily - Sirocco

The Sirocco Daylily 'Salmon Pink', Hemerocallis 'Sirocco', is a favorite summer blooming perennial!

The large clumps of long grass-like leaves have showy clusters of creamy salmon pink lily-like blooms on tall stems.  As it blooms in midsummer, it will remind you of a big juicy peach!

Fertilize early in the plant’s growing cycle ; a rugged, adaptable, vigorous perennial that endures in a garden for many years with little or no care.

The Sirocco adapts to a wide range of soil and light conditions; establishes quickly, grows vigorously, and survive s winters with little or no injury.

It is useful in the perennial flower border, planted in large masses, or as a ground cover on slopes, where they form a dense mat in just a few years.; attracts butterflies.

Divide Sirocco every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline.   Deadheading spent buds and removing old scapes will improve overall look, but not improve plant performance.

Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month.

This plant is a blooming machine with a clumping plant!
